Dr. Terry Jones, author of both, Elder: A Spiritual Alternative to Being Elderly and The Elder Within: The Source of Mature Masculinity, has been a public speaker and workshop facilitator for thirty years. He has served organizations including the Spiritual Eldering Institute, The Mankind Project, Living Enrichment Center and Elder Spirit.

2006 is the 35 year anniversary of his marriage and the year of the birth of his seventh grandchild. Jones holds a Doctorate of Ministry from Wisdom University. Before his retirement from the mental health consulting business he founded, he was a certified mental health counselor. Jones is a spiritual director, elderhood workshop facilitator, author and counselor to young business persons.

Prior to writing Elder and The Elder Within, he co-authored with Paul Kadota, A Biography of Kanaye Nagasawa, about a Japanese-American adventurer, entrepreneur and spiritual leader. It was published in Kagoshima, Japan in 1978, He also wrote Also of Men Born, published by EASE Books first in 1980 and again in 1996.

Jones founded EASE Inc. in 1979. EASE is one of the first mental health-consulting services to offer national employee counseling services to business and industry. Jones founded the Elderhood Institute in 1999 in Oregon to give his elderhood work a home.
